On Sunday, celebrate your dad with a breakfast at Slates in Hallowell. Afterwards walk down to the Adirondack chairs & watch the sturgeon.

Craving strawberry shortcake? If you never had one before, you absolutely must. Readfield is a small town with a big heart. Come out, grab a dessert and enjoy the local beach and fishing holes.

Tumbledown Mountain is a must! If you happen to hike this one on a hot day, you are in for a cool welcome at the top of this mountain. There is a lake you can hop in and enjoy. My kid use to bring his foldable fishing rod to catch one while we rested. After this awesome hike, stop at the Beer Garden in Farmington for a treat.

Thurs/June 25th: Up-potting Seedlings at the Native Seed Center 6-7:30. Join in on a hands on demo on how to care for your native seedlings. Dividing, planting, applying to a garden setting. Learn details of soil mixes, fertilizations and other details.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is moving from the Marketplace to here for more foot traffic and expansion. The new location is expected to open this fall and could include a Lids section. Dick’s in South Portland is also relocating to the old Sears building. They will have an indoor ‘House of Sport’ featuring a rock climbing wall, batting cages and turf fields! Indoor options is something Maine has desperately needed!
